Evelyn Flores
Director of Resource Development
Currently pursuing a doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership, Evelyn is passionate about helping organizations evolve and thrive. A North County resident for the past seven years, she originally hails from Orange County. Evelyn brings extensive experience from her previous role as the Donor and Membership Coordinator at the San Diego History Center.
There she assisted with event planning, program production, and marketing. Her expertise in donor cultivation, stewardship, and both individual and corporate donor development, combined with her strong administrative support skills, makes her a key asset to our team. Evelyn is eager to work alongside our dedicated team to strengthen our fundraising efforts, enhance our resource strategy, and deepen our relationships with donors through personalized stewardship. She is committed to ensuring the organization remains connected to the community while fostering a culture of trust and engagement.

Helen Pfalzer
Community Engagement Coordinator
Helen Pfalzer is passionate about social justice, advocacy, and creating meaningful change. Originally from Washington, D.C., she moved to North County San Diego to be closer to family and embrace new opportunities to make an impact. With a strong background in social services and earning a BSBA in Marketing. Helen has dedicated her career to community outreach, volunteer coordination, and ensuring marginalized communities have access to the resources they need to thrive.
She is excited to join Operation HOPE-North County because she has seen firsthand how critical safe housing, advocacy, and access to essential services are for individuals and families facing hardship. She is thrilled to be a part of an organization that actively fills those gaps and provides a path toward stability and self-sufficiency. She loves building strong connections, empowering others, and growing alongside an organization that truly makes a difference!

Shay Dangerfield
Lead Case Manager
Shay has always believed in the power of resilience and the importance of being seen, heard, and valued. As the Lead Case Manager at Operation HOPE-North County, she has the privilege of walking alongside individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them navigate challenges and rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
With a background in social work and a heart for community, her work goes beyond connecting people to housing and resources—it’s about empowering them to recognize their worth and potential. She takes a person-centered approach, meeting clients where they are, listening to their stories, and helping them craft a path forward that aligns with their goals.
