SHARE A SKILL

Share Your Skills, Spark HOPE

At Operation HOPE–North County, we believe HOPE grows through knowledge, confidence, and connection. As part of our Steps to Independence program, we offer life skills classes to help our shelter residents gain the tools they need to thrive beyond their time with us.
If you have a skill you’d like to share, we’d love to partner with you to bring HOPE and growth into our shelter community. Past classes have included:
  • Self-defense and personal safety
  • Haircutting and personal grooming
  • Nutrition and meal planning
  • Budgeting and financial literacy
  • Job readiness and interview preparation
If you’re interested in teaching a one-time or recurring class, please fill out our Life Skills Interest Form, and our Director of Programs will follow up with next steps. Your time and talents can make a lasting impact!
